At Comfitz, we always try to keep sustainability in mind when making decisions. Unfortunately, in Fashion that is not always easy. However, we commit ourselves to make incremental steps along our brand journey. Read below what we have already achieved.

🏭 Ethical European Production

We found our production partner through Manufy.com—a platform that connects fashion brands with responsible European manufacturers. Our chosen factory shares our values of sustainability and ethics—and puts them into practice every day.

  • Energy Efficient: The facility runs on LED lighting and follows strict energy-saving protocols. A full switch to solar power is planned by the end of 2025
  • Waste Reduction: Offcuts and leftover materials are recycled or reused in production—keeping waste low and resources in use longer

👟 Eco-conscious footwear design

Our shoes are thoughtfully designed to balance comfort, durability, and sustainability (where possible) —without compromising on style:

  • EVA Outsole – Lightweight, durable, and recyclable. Our EVA soles provide all-day comfort while offering an eco-friendlier alternative to traditional rubber.
  • Knitted Upper – Made from premium knit fabric that reduces material waste during production, supporting our commitment to responsible manufacturing.

Genuine Leather Insole – Responsibly sourced for breathability and long-term durability, promoting mindful consumption and reducing unnecessary waste

📦 Sustainable & Thoughtful Packaging

Because sustainability doesn’t stop at the product

Shoe & Shipping Bags – FF-Packaging
Our drawstring shoe bags and outer mailers are sourced from FF-Packaging and made using FSC®, GOTS®, Fairtrade®, and ZEROTREE® certified materials—produced without cutting down trees. Delivered climate-neutrally through their Lean & Green initiative, these bags are both practical and planet-friendly. We're continuously exploring packaging options that align with our sustainability goals, and FF-Packaging’s eco-conscious approach fits that vision.

Shoe Boxes – Paardekooper
Minimal ink. Maximum recyclability. We chose uncoated kraft cardboard for its raw, natural look—easy to recycle and visually in line with our slow fashion values. Less ink means less waste and fewer resources used.

Water-Activated Tape – Sticker Mule
Each box is sealed with our custom-branded, biodegradable kraft tape. It’s plastic-free, reinforced with fiberglass strands for strength, and activated with water—an eco-conscious alternative to traditional packaging tape.

Thank You Cards – Peter Print
Our cards are printed on single-sided coated sulphate cardboard using low-waste production methods. They add a personal touch—without adding environmental cost
